Town hall
Auvers-sur-Oise, France

  • May 20, 1890 - July 29, 1890

Sitting on the terrace outside Auberge Ravoux on 14 July 1890, Bastille Day, Vincent painted the Auvers-sur-Oise town hall, which was partly obscured by lanterns and bunting strung between trees in celebration of the national holiday. Vincent gave the painting to his innkeeper, Arthur Gustave Ravoux.
